Did you know that each year UnionDocs provides scholarships to over 50 emerging artists, exceeding $50,000 in financial support.

These scholarships are for those who would otherwise not be able to attend our LABS and WORKSHOPS and offer access to professional development opportunities, artistic inspiration, specialized skills and knowledge, and the chance to build new relationships with a wider creative community in NYC and abroad. The scholarship fund removes barriers to these opportunities for people from historically marginalized communities and those whose current financial situation makes them out of reach. That’s why we are asking for you to contribute.

With your donation, we can continue and hopefully increase our support for artists through these vital programs.

So who attends? Most participants in labs & workshops are emerging or mid-career artists, journalists and media professionals who crave these chances to connect and advance their practice and have found our programs invaluable for their personal growth.

We’ve seen alums go on to launch production companies, direct film nonprofits, find jobs in NYC’s independent production industry, gain acceptance to prestigious PhD programs, receive important grants and residencies, build loyal followings as practitioners, and take independent shorts and feature-length films to top tier film festivals and venues.
